Bright Start Supports National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week and July Nutrition Month

“Live your life from your heart. Share from your heart. And your story will touch and heal people’s souls.” ~ Melody Beattie

July is a special month for children with disabilities here in the Philippines since we celebrate the National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week. As such Bright Start is always eager to give the Special Education (SPED) Center of a public school in Cebu City (ie. Lahug Elementary School) a special gift during this time. We were able to donate tables for their classroom. This was the request of Mrs. Gina Labrador, the SPED coordinator. She said, she had more enrollees for the new schoolyear thus needing more tables for the students. She handles students with intellectual disabilities. On behalf of Mrs. Labrador and her students, we would like to thank you once again Fr. Rickey for making this possible! Thank you to all the parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic church (Missouri, USA) for sharing the love!

Bright Start supports government programs such as Nutrition Month. For this year, we sponsored the culminating activity at Almanza Elementary School (Las Piñas, Metro Manila) - Grade 4. We are grateful for the opportunity given by their adviser, Mrs. Guiyab. Thank you Teacher Irene and Teacher Eva for facilitating! Thank you Tita Yadell Mondares (NY, USA) for making this possible!
