Project Sunshine Phase 1 Summary Update

You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When the skies are grey
You'll never know dear
How much I love you
Please don't take
My sunshine away
~ Jimmie H. Davis

Chrismarie Suganob supervised the distribution of snack packs in Daanbantayan and Bogo. After the nutrition drive in Bogo, she had this to share, "Mka lingaw mg tan aw sa mga bata nga hapi kaau sila sa ilang nadawat nga gifts. naa pa bata nga murag 2yrs old guro to, Ning duol cya sa ako Nya Ning ingon thank u mam? Kana bang kkapoy sa init na wala jud... Hantod jud sa ning lakaw nami amo sa cya ng ghunungan. Nya cge sya ingon thank you sa tanan Nya babye..." ("It was so nice to see the children so happy with the gifts they received. There was this one kid, I think about 2 years old who came up to me and said 'thank you ma'am.' And that just made me forget the exhaustion due to the hot weather. Up until we were about to leave, we stopped to see this boy and he just kept saying thank you to everyone and then said goodbye". )

Project Sunshine's intention was to bring a little smile on the children's faces after going through a calamity. We are humbled. They made us smile. They brought us sunshine. What a privilege!

Project Sunshine Team, let's now gear up for Phase 2!
