Color-My-World Events Part 1

What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others. ~ Pericles

We had a number of Color-My-World events in different parts of Cebu for the last two weeks. Last July 30, 2014, together with a balikbayan couple, Mr. Rodel and Mrs. Marem Flores, we visited the pupils of Mother of Perpetual Help Day Care Center at Sitio Baca, Apas, Cebu City. We were happy to meet Teacher Allen and his 40 pupils. They were delighted to receive clothes given by the friends of Mr. and Mrs. Flores from Oregon, USA. Furthemore, Teacher Allen happily received a number of educational wooden toys and puzzles given by Kathleen Boylon Horn and her sons Grady and Wills. Mrs. Flores lovingly packed the donation and happily delivered them to the kids. We will be forever grateful for the gesture and for the time spent with Bright Start!

On the same day, our Bright Start volunteer, Ms. Rowena endorsed 160 pencils to the Kinder and Grade 1 teachers of Jaguimit Elementary School (Naga, Cebu). These pencils were donated by Rizzy Montecillo.

Last August 1, we visited PRIME Center Foundation, a special school in Mandaue City, Cebu to distribute pencils and crayons donated by Rizzy Montecillo; books donated by Lisly Alcano; and toys donated by Lyra Malapitan. It was short but sweet and definitely not the last time to visit. Thank you Carlina Roa, Sandra Sy, Christine Buenaventura, and to the teachers and staff of PRIME for facilitating.

Thank you once again to all our Bright Start friends for the opportunity to share and thank you Bright Start Heroes for sharing what you have especially your time! To God be the Glory!
